Telugu cinema Actors are given the status of demi gods by their fans as the industry is actor driven. The story of a movie revolves around him 90 % of the times. Tollywood has seen actors who rules the screen for decades together. Legends like N T Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, S V Ranga Rao, Nagabhushanam, Gummadi, Nagiah, Chalam, Shoban Babu, Krishna, Krishnam Raju acted in Telugu movies and entertained audience for a long time.

Telugu Cinema saw evolution of heros. Legends like NTR, ANR, Krishna not only acted in movies but also contributed towards improvement and growth of Telugu Cinema Industry. They are the pillers who were instrumental in bringing the Telugu Cinema Industry to Hyderabad from Chennai.
With the help of Government of Andhra Pradesh they later established Film Studios that encouraged and helped Telugu cinema to grow to the top level in India today. Akkineni Nageswara Rao establsihed Annapurna Studios which became the foundation and later Ramanaidu Studios, Krishna's Padmalaya Studios, NTR's Ramakrishna Cine Studios came up in and around Hyderabad.
These actors not only gave us good cinema to watch but also gave next generation of hero's from their families. Third generation of heros from these families are also in the que and are entertaining Telugu audience like their fore-fathers.
Tollywood also gave scope to a lot of young talent who had no film background but at the same time who grew to a level where audience appreciated and honoured them for the kind of hardship they have put in acting. |
