Megastar Chiranjeevi announced his party name as Prajarajyam. In a meeting which saw people in excess of 8 lakhs, the name Prajarajyam was announced.

The 2 hour plus speech disclosed the name of party, his party's principles and every thing about it. The name of party was declared in a cinematic style. His announcement synced with the display of the name on the giant screen behind him.

Megastar Chiranjeevi, a Padma Bhushan awardee, has acted in 148 films.He himself revealed that Former President A P J Abdul Kalam had inspired him to take a plunge into politics and vowed to bring about positive change in politics.

"Prajarajyam will be a party which would support the poor, a party on which the middle class can rely and a party which would give priority for agricultural development, welfare of farmers, primary health, education, labour welfare, opportunities for youth and women" Chiranjeevi said.
